After a 1-hour narrated tour en route to the Matanuska-Susitna Valley, visit Happy Trails Dog Kennel where you will enjoy a multimedia presentation about the Iditarod Sled Dog Race, see a mushing demonstration from an Iditarod musher, and pet the championship sled dogs and puppies. Real Alaska Tour – Available through September 16 Only
Board the world famous Alaska Railroad for a scenic 4 hour train ride to the coastal community of Seward. Upon arrival, enjoy a 1 ½ hour dog sled tour, Exit Glacier visit, lunch and Seward city tour. Return to Anchorage by train this evening. A fun-filled day experiencing the wonders of Alaska!

Grand Tour of Anchorage
On the "Grand Tour" you will join a longtime Alaskan for an introduction to Alaska's largest city. Complete with a fascinating historical overview, weather and economic facts, and multiple photo stops.

Earthquake Park Bike Ride
Take a guided mountain bike tour along the scenic Tony Knowles Coastal Trail to Earthquake Park, an area showing the after effects of the 1964 Earthquake. Along the way possibly see moose and other local flora and fauna. Transfer to/from hotel, bike rental, and light snack included. Approximate 10 mile ride, good for all levels of experience.

Alaska ATV Adventure
See the real Alaska on a guided 4-wheeler tour. Your guide will choose a scenic area with the best conditions for your fun-filled, 3-hour ride in Alaska’s backcountry. See the local landscape, all the while looking out for wildlife.

Glacier Hiking
Ride the scenic Alyeska Tram up to 2,300 feet and back down to the Hotel Alyeska near sea level. From the upper mountain tram, hike a scenic ridgeline surrounded by the 7 glaciers of the Girdwood Valley and outstanding views up to the glacier making photo and rest stops along the way. In totality, hike for 3 – 4 hours for a distance of 1 mile round trip with an 800 foot gain. Includes roundtrip transfers and tram ticket.

Rainforest Hike
This 2 – 3 hour guided 5 mile (round trip) hike explores the Historic Iditarod Trail, just an hour from Anchorage. Time and enthusiasm permitting, this moderate and informative hike consists of a very unique hand tram crossing and walk over the Winner Creek Gorge. Includes roundtrip transfers.

Ice Climbing
Portage Valley lends an amazing backdrop to learn or hone your skills. Hike 5 miles round trip on rugged terrain ranging from trails to off-trail talus walking, boulder hopping and cramponing on ice to get to the Byron Glacier where you climb. Includes roundtrip transfers.

Portage Glacier Cruise – Available through September 16 Only
From Anchorage skirt the shores of Turnagain Arm. You just might catch a glimpse of beluga whales at Beluga Point and there’s an abundance of waterfowl at Potter March. Get a close up view of the Portage Glacier from the decks of the mv Ptarmigan. Enjoy the spectacular views and the expert narration from a seat in the enclosed lounge or on the open-air observation deck. On the way back to Anchorage, stop at The Hotel Alyeska. You’ll have time for lunch on your own and an optional tram ride to the top of Mt. Alyeska. Includes roundtrip transfers.

26 Glacier Cruise
Travel over 135 miles into Prince William Sound aboard the Klondike Express, a high-speed catamaran, to see 26 "named glaciers" and many more unnamed. Approach within 500 feet from the face of these towering walls of ice and "hear" the glaciers move, watch for calving and see the brilliant blues in the ice. You may also have the opportunity to view sea otters, seals, porpoises, sea lions, eagles and whales while you enjoy relaxing in a comfortable heated cabin. Lunch and transportation included.

Kenai Fjords National Park Cruise
Kenai Fjords National Park and Resurrection Bay are abundant in marine wildlife and ice-blue tidewater glaciers. See harbor seals, otters, sea lions, and various species of whale. There are over 100 species of birds flourishing in the area, from the majestic Bald eagle to the beloved puffin, and a spectacular Steller sea lion colony. This 110-mile journey (177 km) by cruise features the ultimate wildlife viewing experience. Lunch and transportation included.
