10,000 Years of Alaska History
10 a.m. and 11 a.m. daily
A knowledgeable docent guides visitors on a journey through Alaska history, from the Ice Age to today. Highlights include an overview of Alaska's different Native groups and their traditional lifestyles, a lively peek into the Alaska gold rush, and some surprising information about Alaska's role during World War II. For visitors to Alaska, this tour is an excellent way to get context for a journey through the state.
Art of the North
1 p.m. daily
From drawings made on Captain Cook's Alaska expedition to contemporary paintings by Alaska's most beloved artists, this docent-guided tour provides an overview of Alaska art. Highlights include a wide selection of large-scale landscape paintings including an entire gallery dedicated to Sydney Laurence, Alaska's best-known painter.
