Kenai River Fishing Day Trip

Only have one day but want to fish the famous Kenai?

Itinerary/Details

Meet at one of three Anchorage pickups at 7:30 a.m.  You'll travel the 135 miles of breathtaking beauty as you traverse two mountain ranges, skirt the amazing Cook Inlet (with its famous 'Bore tide") and wind your way along the upper Kenai river before arriving at the lodge around 10:30 a.m.

After a thorough orientation, enjoy lunch in a famous riverside lodge overlooking the Kenai and Moose rivers and the Chugach Mountains, then it's on to the river for a guided charter for Alaskan salmon.  You'll be targeting the world's largest Kings or Sockeye, Silver or Pink Salmon, depending upon seasons and conditions.

Guides are licensed, trained experts and wonderful teachers, so these trips are completely suitable for children (6 and above) and beginners as well as more experienced anglers alike.

Return to the lodge after 4 ½ to 5 1/2  hours on the river with your guide.  Great Alaska Adventure Lodge practices Catch and Release on all trout species, and encourage catch and release for all Kenai river trophy King salmon.  Sockeye salmon, Silver Salmon and Pink salmon may be retained in cooperation with current regulations.
