Located at the head of Resurrection Bay on the Kenai Peninsula is Seward, one of Alaska's oldest communities.
This scenic town is named for William H. Seward, the former Secretary of State who coordinated the $7.2 million purchase of Alaska from Russia.
Seward serves as the jumping off point for Kenai Fjords National Park cruises and fishing expeditions. Saltwater bays, blue glaciers, majestic mountains and alpine valleys make a visit to this town a memorable one.
