Day 1 · Fairbanks
Arrive into Fairbanks. Transfer to your hotel downtown for an evening at your leisure.
Day 2 · Fairbanks/Chena Hot Springs
Transfer to Chena Hot Springs Resort, Alaska’s premier natural mineral hot springs. Internationally recognized as the best place to view Northern Lights during the winter season. Tour the Aurora Ice Museum, the largest year-round ice environment in the world! You may also participate in a variety of optional activities such as flight seeing, show-shoeing, cross-country skiing, snowmobile or snow coach tours.
Day 3 · Chena Hot Springs/North Pole/Fairbanks
Meet the Sun Dog Express crew this morning for an intriguing dog mushing presentation. Afterwards, enjoy an exclusive, narrated coach tour of Fairbanks with a stop at the Trans-Alaska Pipeline and the Alaska Museum of the North. Head to North Pole, where the spirit of Christmas lives year-round.
Day 4 · Fairbanks/Arctic Adventure/Fairbanks
Enjoy an exciting, guided journey by air across the Arctic Circle. View the remarkable Trans Alaska Pipeline. Fly over the expansive Yukon River Valley. Experience the rugged and magnificent Brooks Mountain Range. Participate in a ceremonious Arctic Circle landing at a wilderness community on the Middle Fork Koyukuk River and receive an official Arctic Circle Adventure Certificate.
Day 5 · Fairbanks/Anchorage
Fly into Anchorage and tour the heart of downtown. Visit Lake Hood Sea Plane Base, and stop at Ship Creek where your driver-guide will provide an interesting look at the history of this area. Tour the Alaska Native Heritage Center.
Day 6 · Anchorage/Seward/Girdwood
Travel along the Turnagain Arm today, a National Scenic Byway, winding from Cook Inlet to Seward. Enjoy a wildlife and natural history cruise of Resurrection Bay and visit Alaska SeaLife Center.
Day 7 · Girdwood/Anchorage
Explore a forested pathway on an exciting snow-shoe hike. Continue with a tour of the Portage Valley with a visit to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. Travel to Begich Boggs Visitor Center, built on the remnants of a terminal moraine left by Portage Glacier. Although the Visitor Center is not operating during winter, this location offers opportunities to see chunks of blue-hued, glacier ice floating in the lake in front of the picturesque, snow covered, mountains. Return to Anchorage where your adventure will end with a transfer to the airport this evening. Day use rooms in Anchorage are included until mid-evening.
