Whales are guaranteed on this excursion! Your adventure begins with a motorcoach ride from downtown Juneau where your driver shares local history and points of interest as you make your way to scenic Auke Bay. Here, you’ll be greeted by your experienced captain, naturalist and crew as you board a deluxe sightseeing vessel. Relax in warm comfort as you embark on a personally guided wilderness safari through Stephen’s Passage – an area known for an abundance of humpback whales. Join your naturalist and crew spotting wildlife as they explain the behavior and habits of whales and other flora and fauna you may encounter. Humpback and killer whales, Stellar sea lions, Dall’s porpoise, harbor seals and bald eagles are common sights. You may even spot a Sitka blacktail deer or even a bear as you cruise along the shoreline of the wilderness islands which speckle southeast Alaska’s many fjords. Snow covered mountains and lush, green rainforests serve as the perfect backdrop to your many photo opportunities. Use of binoculars and complimentary wildlife guide and map is provided along with complimentary snacks and beverages. To fully enjoy this excursion, bring along a warm, waterproof jacket.. and, don’t forget your camera!
