Founders, Michael and Diane McBride, may join you for a part of your stay at the Lodge.
Michael, a member of the Explorer's Club and Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, has more than 35 years experience in the wilds of Alaska. He's a Master Guide, licensed skipper and bush pilot, and has strong expertise in marine biology. Michael is a Nationally Certified Yoga Teacher. He has served as a Smithsonian National Board Member and as a Trustee for The Nature Conservancy. The creative details of your cabin and the lodge have been hand-crafted by Michael.
Diane's background in biology and Master's degree in Education enables her to guide you to full enjoyment of Kachemak Bay's abundant plant and animal life. Diane is a talented artist, and an accomplished gourmet cook, and licensed skipper.
