Day 1 · Anchorage
Arrive in Anchorage and transfer to your hotel in downtown Anchorage for your overnight.
Day 2 · Anchorage
Today you have an opportunity to try fishing for salmon in Ship Creek, right in downtown Anchorage! This afternoon you may opt to visit the Alaska Native Heritage Center, bike Anchorage’s 11-mile long Tony Knowles Coastal Trail on your own, or take a guided hike.
Day 3 · Anchorage/Girdwood
Pick up your rental car in Anchorage and travel along the Chugach Mountains and Turnagain Arm to the cozy community of Girdwood. As Alaska’s premier resort, The Hotel Alyeska at Alyeska Resort provides the perfect compliment to the spectacular beauty of Southcentral Alaska. While in Girdwood, optional activities include: guided ATV Adventure, Jetboat Adventure, or Rainforest Hike.
Day 4 · Girdwood
Today you may choose to travel to a nearby community (Portage, Whittier or Seward) for an optional glacier or wildlife cruise or enjoy other local activities. Return to Girdwood and take an included ride on the aerial tramway to the top of Mt. Alyeska. Enjoy magnificent views of Turnagain Arm. Return to The Hotel Alyeska and unwind in the hotel lounge or saltwater whirlpool spa.
Day 5 · Girdwood/Anchorage
This morning drive to Portage for an included visit to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. This facility provides a home to orphaned and injured wildlife, while providing visitors an opportunity to take a close look at bears, moose, caribou, and more. Return to Anchorage via the scenic Seward Highway, capturing souvenir photos and looking for wildlife en route. Your epic adventure comes to an end upon your arrival in Anchorage.
