Day 1 • Anchorage
Arrive in Anchorage today where an Explore Tours representative will greet you and review your travel documentation. Board the hotel shuttle bus for transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Anchorage.
Day 2 • Anchorage/Talkeetna
This morning depart Anchorage by rail and enjoy the scenic ride to Talkeetna. Upon arrival you may choose a flightseeing tour or a jetboat tour to experience even more of the incredible beauty and spectacular views of this area. Overnight in Talkeetna.
Day 3 • Talkeetna/Denali
Enjoy this morning with a walk through the colorful little town of Talkeetna before boarding the train to Denali. You may dine onboard the train during your exciting rail journey up north. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Denali.
Day 4 • Denali
Enjoy the Kantishna Wilderness Trails Tour through Denali National Park. An experienced guide will share about the land and wildlife of the area. Lunch and beverage are included. Overnight near the Denali National Park entrance.
Day 5 • Denali/Fairbanks
Spend the day exploring Denali before departing by rail for Fairbanks. Upon arrival in Fairbanks transfer to your hotel for overnight.
Day 6 • Fairbanks
Begin your day aboard an authentic sternwheeler, the Riverboat Discovery. This 4-hour tour will explain about the misadventures of Captain Barnette and how a rumor of gold actually "panned" out. Overnight in Fairbanks.
Day 7 • Fairbanks/Anchorage
Today return by air to Anchorage. Spend your last full day purchasing souvenirs or doing some more sightseeing. Overnight in downtown Anchorage.
Day 8 • Anchorage
End of tour. Spend this day at your leisure before your flight home or take part in one of the many optional tours Explore Tours has to offer: flightseeing, bear viewing, fishing and more are just a few of a wide variety to choose from.
