Day 1 • Anchorage/Bear Camp
Your adventure begins in Anchorage with a scenic transfer to the confluence of two famous Alaska Rivers. Following lunch and orientation, board a bush plane for a spectacular flight to Bear Camp, named the “best bush camp in North America” by Outdoor Magazine. Spend the remainder of the day viewing brown bears. Overnight at the Bearcamp in comfortable “Weather Port” tent cabins with twin beds, propane heat and light.
Day 2 • Bear Camp/Main Lodge
Rise to the sound of waves lapping at the wilderness shoreline. After a hearty breakfast, enjoy more time with your guide and the incredible Brown Bear. You and very few others share a camouflaged deck glassing for the 40 bears that call this area home. Following lunch, take a return flight to the main lodge on the Kenai River. Settle into your riverside cabin with private bath. Refreshments and dinner welcome you back to civilization!
Day 3 • Main Lodge/Seacoast Adventure Camp
Today travel to one of Alaska’s Scenic treasures, the coastal town of Seward. Upon arrival, your guide will show you the town before transporting you to the Seacoast Adventure Camp, your outback paddling home for the next two nights. Set at the back of a protected cove, the Camp offers views of jagged cliffs, waterfalls, and hanging glaciers. Kayak the waters and fjords of Resurrection Bay and Kenai Fjords National Park and hike in this breathtaking area. Overnight in outfitter style tents at this permanent camp.
Day 4 • Adventure Camp
Enjoy another day of sea kayaking as you explore the coves and inlets of Resurrection Bay. Regardless of your experience, you’ll have plenty of time to practice your paddling skills. Return to the camp in the afternoon for relaxing, beachcombing, or hiking. Overnight at the Adventure Camp.
Day 5 • Main Lodge
Your adventure continues with a whitewater trip on the famous River known only as “6 Mile.” This River is sure to keep your adrenaline pumping! Return to the main lodge for a well-earned shower, happy hour, dinner, and your overnight.
Day 6 • Main Lodge/Homer/Main Lodge
No trip to Alaska is complete without a visit to Homer, the “End of the Road.” See early Russian churches, active volcanoes and look for wildlife en route. Spend a fun-filled day exploring the art and uniqueness of the famous boardwalk at “Land’s End.” Return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight.
Day 7 • Main Lodge
Today your guide will escort you a hiking excursion in the local Wildlife Refuge. This could include an energetic hike to an alpine valley lake or a relaxed hike to the base of waterfalls to see salmon leaping to their spawning grounds. Then return to the lodge for your group photo prior to your return flight to Anchorage.
