Cordova is a small, coastal town surrounded by glacier-carved mountains, nestled at the head of Orca Inlet in Eastern Prince William Sound. The area dazzles you with wildlife-rich wetlands, lush forests, and countless waterways. A photographer’s dream!
Day 1 Anchorage/Cordova
Fly from Anchorage to Cordova. Overnight at Orca Adventure Lodge. Your stay includes 3 meals per day, use of kayaks, canoes, bicycles and round-trip airport transportation.
Day 2 & 3 Cordova
The next two days are yours to explore on your own. Cordova offers up a multitude of activities such as hiking, wildlife photography, world-famous sport fishing, bear viewing, flight seeing, and more! Enjoy a drive across the Copper River Delta, on a road that was once the path of the Copper River Railway, to the spectacular Childs Glacier. The glacier provides some of the most active glacier calving in Alaska as the voluminous Copper River cuts away at the base of the glacier. Top it off with an awe inspiring view of the amazing Historic Million Dollar Bridge.
Day 4 Cordova to Anchorage
Today you will fly from Cordova to Anchorage where your tour ends.
The adventure doesn’t have to end here! Extend your exploration of Alaska with a trip north to Nome or perhaps head further south with a visit to Juneau and Glacier Bay National Park. One of our Alaska Experts can assist you in cultivating your very own adventure.
