Fishing

Casting in the legendary waters of Lake Creek is an experience not to be missed. Riversong Lodge caters to the experienced and novice fishermen alike. Fishing programs focus on the quality of the total experience; excellent catching opportunities and beautiful scenery, and  professional guides who help guests enjoy great fishing, as well as, the fascinating flora, fauna and colorful history of the area.

Riversong prides theirselves in having some of the best guides in Alaska. They are Coast Guard certified and are proficient with conventional and fly tackle. They know the waters and the fishing, and they take great pleasure in teaching you the skills to master them. Let them navigate you up the swiftly flowing waters of Lake Creek in our jet boats in search of the mighty king salmon in June or maybe the spectacular rainbow trout in September.

Riversong's location across the Yentna River from the confluence of our “home waters” of Lake Creek, allows you some of Alaska’s best fishing water within minutes of leaving their dock. Lake Creek is a swift flowing, clear, gravel-bottomed river originating out of the Alaska Range to the north and is home to all five species of Pacific salmon (king, sockeye, pink, silver and chum), rainbow trout and arctic grayling. In addition, you can fish for the northern pike in other local waters. If you are truly after a unique remote Alaskan experience, let them fly you from the lodge, by helicopter, to some difficult to reach, but fabulous to fish waters. See the Riversong fishing schedule for typical availability times of various species.

Additional Options:

Travel by floatplane for a private full day fishing excursion into neighboring waters and fish for pacific salmon, rainbow trout, arctic grayling and northern pike. Or you may opt to explore the area by boat or take a hike on one of the surrounding trails. Rafts and canoes for day floats are also available.
