Itinerary/Details
Day 1 Anchorage Arrival
Arrive in Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city. A representative will greet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel for your overnight. Tonight there are optional activities like flightseeing to kick of your Alaska sightseeing adventure!
Day 2 Anchorage
Anchorage is a center of Alaskan history and culture showcased this morning on an informative city attractions tour. Afterward, sightsee by motor coach to Portage Lake where you’ll board the mv Ptarmigan for a memorable cruise that takes you within 300 yards of the actively calving Portage Glacier. Relive the day’s highlights back at your Anchorage hotel. Overnight Anchorage.
Day 3 Anchorage/Denali
Luxurious glass-domed railcars take you on a leisurely sightseeing journey to Denali National Park. Arrive in this legendary six million acre wilderness and transfer to your spacious lodge. To get acquainted with the region, browse the exhibits at the Denali Visitor Center and watch an award-winning film. Overnight Denali.
Day 4 Denali National Park
This morning, experience Denali on an optional river rafting, fly-fishing, or self-drive Jeep tour excursion. Another popular Denali attraction is the sled dog kennel tour and demonstration. This evening’s included Tundra Wilderness Tour showcases the beautiful Denali Park Road for wildlife viewing and stops for photo opportunities to see Mt. McKinley if the “High One” is “out.” Overnight Denali.
Day 5 Denali/Fairbanks
Take time this morning to indulge yourself in more of Denali’s wild charm, and then re-board the train to travel deeper into Alaska’s interior. Transfer to your Fairbanks hotel upon arrival. Overnight Fairbanks.
Day 6 Fairbanks Departure
Your tour comes to an end with a transfer to the airport for your departure. (Flight cost is additional). Or opt to extend your stay with a variety of other great travel options.
