Itinerary/Details
Day 1 Whitehorse, Yukon Territory
Arrive in Whitehorse and transfer to your hotel. Once settled, you may want to experience more of the “wilderness city” on your own. Overnight in Whitehorse.
Day 2 Whitehorse/Mayo
Depart Whitehorse and travel north on the Klondike Highway. Overnight in the village of Mayo, a quaint community along the “Silver Trail,” known for its mining history and beautiful scenery.
Day 3 Mayo/Dawson City
Return to the Klondike Highway and continue north to Dawson City. Take an optional visit to Diamond Tooth Gertie’s Casino this evening. Or if you’re feeling adventurous, ask about the legendary “sourtoe cocktail.” Overnight in Dawson City.
Day 4 Dawson City/Tok
The morning is free for additional activities in Dawson City. Perhaps try gold panning or experience the Jack London Interpretive Centre. Continue your journey from Dawson City, cross the Alaska border, and arrive in Tok for your overnight.
Day 5 Tok/Haines Junction
Journey south on the Alaska Highway to Haines Junction. Upon arrival you may want to visit the Kluane National Park Visitor Information Centre to acquaint yourself with all of the area attractions. Overnight in Haines Junction.
Day 6 Haines Junction
Spend today enjoying Kluane National Park activities. You may opt to go canoeing, helicopter flightseeing, hiking, or mountain biking. Return to Haines Junction for your overnight.
Day 7 Haines Junction/Haines
Travel south on Haines Highway and cross the border into Haines, Alaska. This scenic community lies on the shores of Lynn Canal, the longest fjord in America. Overnight in Haines.
Day 8 Haines/Skagway
Board the Alaska Marine Highway for your ferry (vehicle and passenger) transfer to Skagway. The remainder of the day is free for enjoying local activities in this Klondike Gold Rush town. Overnight in Skagway.
Day 9 Skagway/Whitehorse
This morning begin your drive north on the Klondike Highway to Whitehorse. The afternoon is yours free to experience the Yukon’s Capital City. Overnight in Whitehorse.
