Itinerary/Details
Day 1 Anchorage
Arrive at the Anchorage Airport . Pick up your rental car (rental is not included in the package price) and transfer to your bed and breakfast for overnight in Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city. A MilePost Guide will be waiting for you upon your arrival.
Day 2 Anchorage/Seward
Head south to Seward. Upon arrival visit the Alaska SeaLife Center. The Alaska SeaLife Center offers an unrivaled, up-close and personal experience with Gulf of Alaska marine wildlife. Overnight in Seward. (B)
Day 3 Seward
Today enjoy the day exploring Kenai Fjords National Park on a 6-hour wildlife and glacier cruise including lunch. Overnight in Seward. (B,L)
Day 4 Seward/Whittier/Valdez
Continue the journey with a scenic drive from Seward to Whittier. Travel through the Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel, North America’s longest! Board the ferry for a cruise through Prince William Sound. Overnight in Valdez. (B)
Day 5 Valdez/Knik River
Head north to Knik River, enjoying views of four prominent peaks of the majestic Wrangell Mountains: Mts. Sanford, Drum, Wrangell and Blackburn. Continue through the Mat-Su Valley to the Knik River Lodge for your overnight. (B)
Day 6 Knik River
Explore the Knik River Valley and Knik Glacier on an included airboat tour. This peaceful location is a treat as it is one that few travelers have discovered. Overnight at Knik River Lodge. (B)
Day 7 Knik River/Denali
Travel north on the Parks Highway to Denali. The drive between Wasilla and Denali offers breathtaking scenery and possibilities for wildlife and Mt. McKinley sightings along the way. Overnight near the Denali Park entrance. (B)
Day 8 Denali
Spend the day on a full day narrated bus tour through Denali National Park to the Kantishna district. Search for moose, bear, wolves, caribou, Dall sheep and more. Lunch will be served at the Kantishna Roadhouse. Snacks and beverages en route are also included. Overnight at Denali Park entrance. (B,L)
Day 9 Denali/Fairbanks
In the afternoon, enjoy another scenic drive on your way to Fairbanks. Overnight in Fairbanks. (B)
Day 10 Fairbanks
Today is free for Fairbanks sightseeing. Your choice of optional activities include cultural tours above the Arctic Circle, riverboat cruising, gold panning, and the University of Alaska Museum of the North. This evening head to Pioneer Park for an included Salmon Bake Dinner. Overnight in Fairbanks. (B,D)
Day 11 Fairbanks
Drop off your car today at the Fairbanks International Airport. End of tour.
