The Area
Located nine ocean miles from the seaside town of Homer along the Kachemak Bay. Take a beautiful drive or scenic flight from Anchorage to Homer (transportation from Anchorage not included in package price featured) connecting by water taxi south across the bay. Along the way, you might observe various shore and water birds, sea otters, sometimes Orcas, Humpbacks and other marine mammals.
Activities
Daily guided adventure activities include: sea kayaking, local sportfishing, beachcombing and tidal-pool exploration, coastal touring by boat, nature trail hiking through old growth forests, hiking, birding and wildlife viewing. Lodge-based activities include use of sauna and hot tub on the deck, morning yoga classes, one complimentary massage, cooking classes and wine tasting.
Accommodations
The lodge offers six private guest accommodations, each with sweeping panoramic ocean and/or mountain views. A seasoned Within The Wild staff offers full-service lodging and guide services, and an array of activities to introduce you to the Kachemak Bay marine community.
