Day 1 • Anchorage
Welcome to Alaska! Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in downtown Anchorage. After settling in, you may opt to experience the museums, restaurants and attractions of Alaska's largest city.
Day 2 • Anchorage/Girdwood
Travel just south of Anchorage to the Alyeska Resort, nestled at the base of the Chugach Mountain Range. Pamper yourself with exciting winter activities including world-class downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, and snow shoeing. Enjoy luxury accommodations, dining and spa services while staying at The Hotel Alyeska.
Day 3 • Girdwood
Today is free to enjoy the wonder of winter! Hit the slopes or perhaps take in other optional activities in the area such as snow machining or flightseeing (weather permitting). Overnight at The Hotel Alyeska.
Day 4 • Girdwood/Soldotna
Head farther south on the Kenai Peninsula to the riverside community of Soldotna. En route, we suggest taking an optional visit to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center in Portage.
In addition to showcasing Alaska's big game animals to visitors, the Center provides a home to orphaned and injured wildlife. Overnight in Soldotna.
Day 5 • Soldotna/Seward
Begin your day with a winter sled dog ride and tour. Visit the winter kennels of the Seavey family, well-known as top finishers of Alaska's premier sled dog races, including the world-famous Iditarod. Continue on to Seward where the beautiful Kenai Fjords covered in snow, descend into the blue depths of Resurrection Bay. This area is known for a diverse array of sea life including birds, whales, porpoise, Stellar sea lions, sea otters and more. Meet some of the local marine life up close and see what is being done to study them in their natural habitats at the Alaska SeaLife Center. Overnight in Seward.
Day 6 • Seward / Anchorage
Return north and make your way back to Anchorage. Along the way, be sure to capture some souvenir photographs on the Seward Highway, a nationally recognized Scenic Byway. Overnight in Anchorage.
Day 7 • Anchorage
Your winter adventure comes to an end today. Or perhaps extend your visit to include a northern lights viewing tour or wilderness lodge stay!
