Itinerary

Day 1 · Anchorage
Arrive in Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city and transfer to your downtown hotel. The rest of the day is yours to explore the shops, museums, and activities that Anchorage has to offer. Overnight in Anchorage.

Day 2 · Anchorage/Fairbanks
Fly from Anchorage to Fairbanks this morning. Settle into your downtown hotel, visit the Fairbanks Visitor Center, and explore the shops in the area. This evening, visit the Ice Park to view the World Ice Art Championships sculptures (March departures only). Displays sparkle and come to life in the dark skies as lights shine on the unique sculptures. Overnight in Fairbanks.

Day 3 · Fairbanks
Begin your day with an adventure above the Arctic Circle. This unique ground tour will take you north from Fairbanks in the personalized comfort of a tour van. View the remarkable Trans Alaska Pipeline, travel the rugged Dalton Highway, traverse the mighty Yukon River, and cross the Arctic Circle in ceremonious fashion. You will receive an official Arctic Circle Adventure Certificate on this full-day tour. You may opt to upgrade this tour to include roundtrip air transportation. Overnight in Fairbanks.

Day 4 · Fairbanks
The day is yours to explore the Fairbanks area. You may want to take an optional visit to the University of Alaska Museum of the North, which boasts the state’s largest gold collection, extensive native art displays, a mummified steppe bison, and Alaskan videos. Perhaps choose to take an optional flightseeing tour of Mt. McKinley, North America’s largest peak. This evening enjoy an included gourmet Alaskan style dinner, followed by a dog sled and aurora viewing tour. Transportation from your hotel and arctic outerwear is provided. Overnight in Fairbanks.

Day 5 · Fairbanks/Chena Hot Springs
This morning transfer to Chena Hot Springs Resort where you can conclude your stay relaxing in natural outdoor Rock Lake or soaking in one of the indoor or outdoor hot tubs that feature the healing waters. Other optional activities such as aurora viewing, the Ice Museum, and cross-country skiing are available at the resort for your enjoyment. Overnight at Chena Hot Springs.

Day 6 · Chena Hot Springs/Fairbanks/Anchorage
Return to Fairbanks this morning for your return trip to Anchorage. Depending on your travel dates, you may opt to fly or travel by train aboard the world famous Alaska Railroad.

Accommodations in Anchorage, Fairbanks, and Chena Hot Springs, dinner/dog sled/aurora tour, Arctic Circle ground tour, transportation between Fairbanks and Chena Hot Springs, and air or rail transportation between Anchorage and Fairbanks.
