Favorite Alaska Adventure of All Time
During my first season in Alaska, I took a shuttle bus to the Eielson Visitor Center, located in Denali National Park. On the way, we spotted a wolf running alongside the bus. We soon caught up to the rest of pack – they were guarding a recent caribou kill. We stopped and took in the spectacular view, then continued to the Visitor Center. On our way back, the wolves were gone and in their place was a Mama bear and her 2 cubs. In all my years in Alaska, nothing has quite compared to that memorable experience.

Just before the first snowfall this season, I traveled to Hatcher’s Pass – just north of Anchorage. The mountains were quiet and serene as we explored Independence Mine. I enjoy this location, because it’s a quick trip from Anchorage, but once you arrive, you feel like your miles and miles away from civilization. It’s a beautiful spot.
